Technology…
It can be so challenging to sell, right?
If you have ever sold technology you understand. And it doesn’t matter if you’re talking about computers, the cloud, or any other technological “doohickey” that helps people and businesses.
When you share the benefits… no matter how spectacular… your potential customers’ eyes just glaze over.
Hah! Can you relate?
Believe me… I understand your pain.
Now picture this. Imagine explaining technology when it’s a new service that no one has even remotely heard of… (“The cloud,” I think, still fits into this category.)
Shifting gears…
When we are at different shows, me and the AdToons team try to put together lots of visual aids for people so they can actually see what an AdToon is all about. We have our videos running on large screens for individuals to review.
I can’t imagine trying to communicate something like the effectiveness of whiteboard animation without any visual aids. But there are those who do with their own unique technology.
If they understood how important it is for prospects to hold, touch, and see a visual presentation of their technology in action their business would soar!
This made me think of this note below.
Last week, we received an exciting email from a client who deals in energy savings for large companies like McDonald’s.
The challenge of selling technology
And here’s his feedback…
“We worked with the AdToons team to produce a promotional animated video about the Small Box Energy Chameleon system. We couldn’t be happier with the results! The team was professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process of creation and editing. And now we use the video for multiple applications like our email signature, website, tradeshow booth, and educational presentations!”

Thanks so much for your kind words, Tracy. And way to use a cartoon chameleon to help tell your technological benefit-driven story! Kudos to you!
I owe you a new “Cartoon is King” AdToons t-shirt!
So what is your story?
If you have a technology-related business or another business that has a complex message to share, run over to our Application page and sign up for a Free Strategy session.
Do it now, my friend, before the wave of shows coming up in May. I always have a boatload of new clients by the end of each event. And that could mean you go to the back of the line… this month we have 2 spots open for new work. So let me know asap.
Remember: An animated picture is worth a thousand sales!™
