Today, I’m going to uncover a key
ingredient to your marketing that will transform
the way you communicate with your audience.
First though, a little ditty about one of my childhood idols.
In the summer of 1985, I saw Bruce Springsteen live. I was instantly hooked and became a huge fan along with a bazillion of other people.
I remember one hot summer listening to him
on the radio, broadcasting live from a show in Stockholm, Sweden.
The white ceiling in my sweltering bedroom
transformed into landscapes where Springsteen’s characters
were brought to life through his descriptive words and heartfelt
musical poetry.
Leaving his political interests aside, his music can capture the full attention of hundreds of thousands of people in a single evening. He still sells out arenas and stadiums all over the world. Amazing. And he is 65.
This past year, my art work graced the stage with Bruce
and his band a 3 times at different sold out venues.
Here he is with my art in front of 40,000 cheering people. I was pretty pumped to have
my idol interact with and compliment my work.
But I digress.
Let’s get at the heart of how he creates.
This is what really fascinates me… and it can have a huge effect on how you market your business too.
I was listening to an interview with him recently, and when asked about the success of his music, he shared that he always tries to set the scene in his songs. The words he chooses paint the picture
in the listener’s mind. That’s what allows him to “capture” the audience, whether they’re watching live or listening to an album at home or in their car.
Let’s pause there for a second.
This is a huge clue in how you should market your products
and services through video.
If you want to engage your audience, one of your most important tasks is to…
“Paint the scene”
In the scripts you create for your audience, you need
to paint the scene for your prospect.
Obviously the pictures we at AdToons provide our clients do that. But it’s even better
when the script arrives with scenes “painted” with words
already, just like Bruce’s lyrics.
Our copywriters do an amazing job of painting the scene
and meeting your prospects where they are
to deliver your dynamic message.
These folks work one-on-one with you, the client, to deliver
highly-converting messages that make your prospects
want to hear more. At the same time our writers
give the artists what they need to depict a rich visual
landscape for the mind, which allows your audience to be open to listening
to what you have to say.
For once as marketers, WE WIN! We get to be heard.
Chances are since you have created a product
that fills a wonderful need, you will get the lead or sale.
Heard enough?
Good.
