Most people when they market a product or service have their focus mixed up. They get super excited about their product or service, put it up on the website, then place photos of themselves in or around the sales copy.
In the marketing industry this is called inward focus. To be frank, it’s not about you, it’s not about me — it’s about your customer.
Given that, I’m NOT saying you have to totally be outwardly focused either — you have to blend the two.
Here’s what I mean. You have to give subtle hints at what your prospect wants (your product’s end benefits) while giving them a slice of your personality. Reason being, you want to flavor the benefits they might have seen somewhere else with the experience and stories you bring to the table.
